About our podiatristOvena (Rose) Govender graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2010 with honors in the Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Podiatry.
Rose has worked in areas from the Western Corridor to the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane as both a private practice podiatrist and mobile aged care podiatrist. This vast area has encouraged Rose to develop an interest in Geriatric foot care and management in the care of the at risk foot as she has seen the impact of rural isolation and the effects of Chronic disease has on the lower limb. Paediatric and Biomechanical podiatry related issues are also an interest for her as she believes podiatry plays an important part in the treatment and prevention of injuries in the body. She currently works part time at the Mater trying to provide excellent and best practice treatment to the private and public sector. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring and trying new foods and experiences. Rose is available for podiatry appointments every Thursday fortnightly |
