Dr Stacey Deshong, MBBS, GP registrar (on Maternity Leave)
Dr Stacey Deshong is a GP registrar studied medicine at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. She undertook her intern and resident years in tropical Far North Queensland. She has worked in a variety of rural and regional areas including Cairns, Townsville, Innisfail, Mareeba, and the Atherton Tablelands. Stacey returned to Brisbane in 2013 to work exclusively in General Practice.
Stacey has a strong interest in skin cancer medicine, with particular focus on detailed skin examinations, lesion monitoring and skin education. Her interest has lead to further studies, and she is currently undertaking a Masters program through the University of Queensland Master of Medicine Program in Skin Cancer Medicine. Stacey's other interests include Women's Health, Obstetric Care, Paediatrics and Mental Health.
Dr Stacey understands it can sometimes be difficult to see a GP in normal working hours, particularly with work and small children. She is very pleased to be able to provide an after hours service for Pandanus on Monday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings. Stacey looks forward to meeting new and existing patients.
